I believe, from my ancestors who were victims of the witch hunt madness that besieged the area in 1692.

The most renowned of these victims was Rebecca Nurse, who is my eight times grandmother. Despite the fact that she was a pious and well-respected pillar of the community, she was hanged along with her sister for the crime of witchcraft by the accusations of a few frenzied girls.
